| Taking Forward The Olympics' Newest Sport |
 |
Following the historic inclusion of Rugby Sevens into the 2016 Olympic Games, the international Rugby Board has announced the re-appointment of Pro-Active Television as Broadcast Service Partners for the record breaking IRB Sevens World Series.
The UK-based company has been representing the IRB since 2004, negotiating broadcast rights and co-ordinating live TV production of the eight global tournaments that comprise the record-breaking IRB Sevens World Series, playing a prominent role year-on-year increases in broadcasters, nations and live hours of Series coverage.
|
IRB Sevens Manager Beth Coalter said: “Pro-Active’s high quality of production expertise and global sales strategy has been a major factor of the Rugby Sevens success story. Its action-packed, hugely competitive format makes it a hit with broadcasters and Sevens is now shown by more broadcasters in more countries than ever before.”
The 2008/09 IRB Sevens World Series set new broadcast and attendance records, generating over 1000 hours of live television coverage, with over 120 countries broadcasting the highly competitive action as South Africa secured their first title. |
 |
In addition to record Series coverage, Pro-Active generated record figures for Rugby World Cup Sevens 2009 in Dubai, where a global audience of nearly 750 million, watched the drama unfold via a record 141 broadcasters, including significantly increased coverage in emerging Rugby markets such as China, Russia and India.
Pro-Active has also been the driving force behind significantly improved rights income since 2004 as Rugby Sevens has truly grown in global stature to become an Olympic sport.
“We have always known that Sevens is a perfect fit for television. We are proud of our involvement in this exciting and competitive sport and are looking forward to continuing our excellent relationship with the IRB to take Rugby Sevens to new broadcast levels,” said Tommasina Kay, Director, Pro-Active Television. |

| Cueing Up New Snookers Worlds |
 |
Pro-Active have been appointed as exclusive TV managers of a brand new snooker event that will see eight former World Champions back at the table.
The tournament to be staged at Cue Gardens, Bradford, England during May 2010, is set to involve many legends of the sport, including Dennis Taylor, Joe Johnson, Jimmy White, Alex Higgins, Steve Davis, John Parrott and Ken Doherty.
There is little doubt, that although the Tournament will be infused with plenty of humour, the old rivalries will resurface and the competition to be crowned World Seniors Champion 2010 will be as fierce as ever.
Pro-Active will negotiate, produce and distribute worldwide television coverage including international news output. |

| Lucky Number Seven |
Pro-Active Television has just completed its seventh consecutive season of covering the Fun Cup - now Europe's most popular one-make endurance racing series.
In partnership with Frank Johns Associates, Pro-Active has filmed and produced race highlights from the popular team-racing series, since its inception back in 2003. This season, Pro-Active once again covered all eight races, including the Spa 25 Hours - the world's longest circuit race, which features over 600 international drivers and 150 cars racing on the track at the same time.
And the 2009 TV coverage proved to be a massive hit, with over 40 hours of UK air time generated through 'Raceworld' - Pro-Active's weekly Sky Sports show - and stand-alone coverage on Motors TV.
In addition the Fun Cup was broadcast to over 40 other countries across Europe and the wider world, helping to raise the international profile of the series, the teams and their sponsors. |
